Pulse prices surge up to 11% in a month amid crop concerns and festive demand

Wholesale prices of major pulses including chana, moong, tur and matar have risen sharply over the past month, with rates climbing as much as 11 per cent, according to data from industry sources.
Industry executives attributed the price surge to multiple factors: growing concerns over domestic crop deficits, moisture stress affecting yields, reduced supplies from Australia, and stronger demand during the festive season.
