Punjab High Court Acquits Man Convicted in 2018 Hisar Toddler Murder Case

A bench of Justices Anoop Chitkara and Harmeet Singh Deol of the Punjab High Court on October 7 acquitted a man who had been convicted and sentenced to death in connection with the 2018 murder of a two-and-a-half-year-old child in Hisar.

The court set aside both the conviction and the death sentence imposed by the trial court, marking a significant reversal in a case that had drawn considerable attention since the child's body was discovered in a field.
