Voting underway for two Rajya Sabha seats in Jharkhand

Jharkhand is holding a keenly contested Rajya Sabha election for two seats. Three candidates are in the fray: Parimal Nathwani backed by BJP, Baidyanath Ram from JMM, and Pranav Jha from Congress. The focus is on the battle for the second seat.

Both ruling and opposition blocs are employing strategies to prevent cross-voting. MLAs have been housed in hotels and mock polls have been conducted ahead of the election.
