Director Cibi Chakaravarthi Praises Raaka's Visuals, Compares to Avatar

At the music launch of Tamil film Baththa on Saturday, filmmaker Cibi Chakaravarthi praised director Atlee's upcoming film Raaka, starring Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone. Chakaravarthi said he has seen the film's visuals and remarked, "I don't think even Avatar has visuals like that. Everyone will see what I'm talking about in three days. The visuals were extraordinary."

The makers plan to release Raaka's first look on Atlee's 40th birthday, September 21, 2026. A promotional video from the makers described the film as "Beyond what seemed possible" and "Raaka - A Global Triumph."

Some social media users clarified that Chakaravarthi's comparison was about the uniqueness of creature designs rather than claiming Raaka surpasses Avatar in overall quality.
