Ravi Kishan credits Maa Behen for helping Triptii Dimri move beyond Animal image

Actor Ravi Kishan has lauded his Maa Behen co-star Triptii Dimri, crediting the film with helping viewers appreciate a different facet of her talent beyond the "national crush" tag she earned from the 2023 blockbuster Animal. Triptii's role in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's film brought her widespread recognition but also drew criticism over intimate scenes. Speaking to NDTV, Ravi said the new film pulled her out of her Animal image.

Ravi drew a comparison with veteran actress Madhuri Dixit, noting how some of her iconic songs occasionally overshadowed her acting performances. Maa Behen, directed by Suresh Triveni and released on Netflix on June 4, features an ensemble cast including both Dixit and Ravi. The film has received positive responses from critics and viewers, emerging as one of the platform's top-performing non-English titles globally.
