Rayo Vallecano vs Athletic Bilbao La Liga match abandoned due to stadium safety issues

The La Liga match between Rayo Vallecano and Athletic Bilbao was abandoned after the Estadio de Vallecas was temporarily closed following a safety audit. The stadium, where the match was scheduled to be played, was found to have serious structural and safety issues that made it unsuitable for hosting the fixture.

This was the first league match of the season to be held at the venue before the closure was implemented. The temporary suspension of the stadium reflects the authorities' commitment to ensuring player and spectator safety during sporting events.
