RBI blocks Tata Sons exit route as IPO pressure mounts on Noel Tata

Tata Trusts, which holds approximately two-thirds of Tata Sons, has long resisted taking the conglomerate public. The Reserve Bank of India's recent regulatory decision has now curtailed alternative exit routes for the trust, intensifying pressure around the company's ownership structure.
The move leaves Tata Trusts with fewer strategic options as it navigates the future of India's largest business house under the leadership of Noel Tata, who chairs the trusts.
