India's economy remains resilient amid global uncertainties, RBI bulletin shows
India's financial and external sectors continue to draw strength from a resilient domestic economy, according to the Reserve Bank's latest bulletin. Despite global uncertainties and elevated geopolitical tensions affecting financial markets, the economy is demonstrating stability.
The RBI noted strong GDP growth projected for the first quarter of 2026-27, alongside moderate current account deficits and accelerating credit and deposit growth. Foreign direct investment inflows have reached a five-year high, signalling robust investor confidence.
However, crude oil price spikes resulting from escalating West Asia conflicts remain a concern for inflation management, the bulletin cautioned.
