Indian bond yields surge as US Treasury rates rise and oil prices spike
Bond yields in India have risen sharply following an increase in US Treasury yields and climbing oil prices. The surge reflects growing inflationary pressures stemming from higher crude costs, intensifying concerns about India's economic outlook.
Analysts anticipate that the Reserve Bank of India may raise interest rates at its next monetary policy meeting. Market expectations suggest the terminal repo rate could climb from its current level of 5.75% to 6%.
