Five rescued orangutans at Odisha zoo show emotional range during acclimatization

Five orangutans rescued from Odisha's Balasore district have been brought to Nandankanan Zoological Park in Bhubaneswar. The animals are displaying a range of emotions—from playful behaviour to moments of anxiety and restlessness—as they acclimatize to their new surroundings.
A senior zoo official stated that on Thursday, the orangutans were briefly taken out of their quarantine cells and placed in sunlight in an open space. This measure was intended to reduce stress and help them adapt to their new environment during the observation period.
