Russia-Ukraine war disrupts sunflower oil shipments to India

The Russia-Ukraine conflict has disrupted approximately 60,000 tons of sunflower oil shipments destined for India, according to trade sources. The delays and cancellations have prompted Indian buyers to increase their palm oil purchases in preparation for the upcoming festival season.
The supply disruption comes as India relies significantly on Russian sunflower oil imports. With shipments facing cancellation and delays due to the ongoing war, Indian importers are adjusting their procurement strategies to meet domestic demand.
