FNR-RRaD condemns alleged mistreatment of scholars at Nagaland House in New Delhi

Forum for Naga Reconciliation-Research, Reflection and Dialogue (FNR-RRaD) has expressed concern over an incident on September 15, 2026, at Nagaland House in New Delhi's R.K. Puram. The Naga Scholars' Association had organised a screening of documentary film "A Sacred Place" by Prof. Dolly Kikon, followed by dialogue with students and scholars.
FNR-RRaD alleged that Nagaland House staff subsequently engaged in "unprovoked and unwarranted" acts of disrespect, prejudice, humiliation and intimidation towards Prof. Kikon, Prof. Sanjay Barbora and others present, describing the behaviour as an "abuse of power and authority." The forum extended solidarity with the Naga Scholars' Association as it pursues the matter with authorities.
FNR-RRaD stressed that all individuals entering Nagaland House must be treated with respect and dignity, and called for accountability and corrective measures.
