Scorpion Tattoo Becomes Key Clue in Hunt for Retired IAS Officer's Murder Suspect

Bhopal Police are intensifying their search for Varun Kumar, the primary suspect in the murder of retired IAS official Rakesh Agarwal, with a distinctive scorpion tattoo on his neck emerging as a crucial identifying feature. Kumar is believed to be deliberately avoiding mobile phone use to evade surveillance and tracking.
Police have issued a lookout notice across Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab and Rajasthan, distributing pamphlets with Kumar's photograph and physical details along suspected escape routes. A face detection technology had previously traced him to Delhi, though his exact location remains unknown. Fifteen police teams are currently engaged in the search operation.
Investigations reveal Kumar contacted a caretaker-providing agency online before being placed at Agarwal's residence. While no prior criminal records have been found, police suspect he may have been involved in minor thefts. Investigators are monitoring his relatives and associates for any contact, though none has been detected so far.
