Sebi board to discuss PMS overhaul, FPI commodity access expansion
Sebi's upcoming board meeting will focus on significant regulatory changes to portfolio management services and settlement rules. The proposed revisions could permit discretionary portfolio managers to undertake new investment types, including overseas assets, potentially widening investment options for clients.
The board is also expected to review expansion of the accredited investor framework to boost market participation. Additionally, enhancing foreign portfolio investor access to commodity derivatives is on the agenda, aimed at improving market liquidity in this segment.
