Sebi eases margin rules for early pay-in of securities

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has announced a new directive that eases margin requirements for clients with a net sell obligation.
The policy applies particularly when the clearing corporation accepts early pay-in requests. It allows clients to execute trades more efficiently.
Under the directive, no margin will be collected on future trades up to the value of the early pay-in securities that have been accepted.
