Secunderabad Cantonment to rename 21 roads after Indian war heroes and national icons

The Secunderabad Cantonment authorities plan to rename 21 roads, replacing British-era names with those of Indian war heroes and national figures. Bolton Road will be renamed Atal Bihari Vajpayee Road, while Noble Road will honour former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. Lytton Road will be renamed after Netaji Subash Chandra Bose.

The renaming initiative aims to remove colonial-era nomenclature and celebrate India's freedom fighters and distinguished leaders. The cantonment administration is coordinating with relevant stakeholders to implement these changes across the military settlement area.
