Penny stock SEPC surges 11% after landing ₹854-crore SAIL contract
SEPC's shares climbed nearly 11% to ₹5.47 on Friday following the announcement of an ₹854.57-crore contract from SAIL for expansion work at its IISCO Steel Plant in Burnpur.
The contract significantly strengthens SEPC's project pipeline. The company's consolidated order book now exceeds ₹10,000 crore, nearly ten times its current market capitalisation of ₹1,024 crore. This provides multi-year revenue visibility for the firm.
The deal comes as SEPC, despite its modest market value, has built a substantial backlog of work orders, positioning it for sustained revenue generation in coming years.
