India's SEZ exports surge 11.8% to $185 billion in 2025-26

Exports from India's special economic zones jumped 11.8% in 2025-26, reaching over USD 185 billion, marking significant growth in the sector. The pharmaceutical industry has been a major contributor, with exports nearly doubling since 2014-15, reflecting India's strengthening position in global drug markets.
Gujarat emerged as the leading state in SEZ export performance during the fiscal year. The government has also concluded multiple free trade agreements with key international partners, aimed at improving market access and reducing trade barriers for Indian exporters.
