Shah targets flood-free Ahmedabad with 30-inch rainfall capacity

Home Minister Amit Shah has set an ambitious target for Ahmedabad to handle up to 30 inches of rainfall without causing waterlogging in historically flood-affected zones. The initiative aims to address chronic flooding problems in the city through improved infrastructure and drainage systems.
The directive reflects efforts to strengthen urban resilience in Ahmedabad, a city that has repeatedly faced severe waterlogging during monsoon seasons. Implementing this capacity would require significant upgrades to the city's drainage network and stormwater management systems.
