Actor Sharat Saxena Undergoes Standing MRI Before Lumbar Spine Surgery

Veteran actor Sharat Saxena posted on Instagram on September 9 that he is preparing for lumbar spine surgery at Bombay Hospital. The actor shared pictures from his standing MRI scan, expressing hope to "walk properly again and be able to work." His post drew wishes from fans and industry colleagues, including actor Tisca Chopra.
A standing MRI, also known as upright or weight-bearing MRI, is a specialized form of magnetic resonance imaging that allows body parts to be scanned while a person is sitting, standing, or in another weight-bearing position. Unlike conventional MRI machines where patients lie flat in a tunnel-like scanner, upright MRI systems offer a more open, comfortable experience for those who find enclosed machines difficult.
