Jannik Sinner ends 2026 season due to persistent knee injury

Jannik Sinner has announced his withdrawal from competitive tennis for the remainder of 2026 to address a persistent knee injury dating back to July. His last competitive appearance was at Wimbledon, where he captured the title against Alexander Zverev.
Earlier in the season, Sinner demonstrated strong form by winning five consecutive ATP Masters 1000 titles and reaching the Australian Open semi-finals. The injury forced him to prioritize medical treatment over continued competition.
