Sitharaman meets World Bank chief Banga, discuss cooperation on infrastructure and agriculture

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman held a meeting with World Bank chief Ajay Banga to explore avenues for strengthened collaboration. The discussions centred on enhancing the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency's (MIGA) role in boosting corporate and infrastructure finance.

The two officials also examined ways to leverage technology for advancing agricultural practices and tourism development. The focus was on combining global knowledge and private capital to drive economic progress across sectors.
