SK Hynix's Solidigm explores IPO valued up to $150 billion
Chipmaker SK Hynix's Solidigm division is exploring an initial public offering that could value the unit at up to $150 billion, according to sources. The company is in early planning stages and aims to raise approximately $15 billion through the IPO.
Solidigm specializes in NAND flash memory and solid-state drives, key technologies for artificial intelligence applications. An IPO of this scale would rank among the largest semiconductor floats in U.S. history.
The company is also considering building a new manufacturing facility in upstate New York as part of its expansion plans.
