Gujarat schools told to tighten entry rules, restrict photography and protect student data

The Gujarat government has directed schools to tighten visitor entry rules and restrict unauthorised photography and videography on campus.
The directive also bars the collection of students' personal information without authorisation, aimed at protecting student privacy.
Under the October 21 circular, outsiders must obtain prior written permission to enter school premises, and principals may refuse entry on security grounds.
Schools are also required to maintain visitor records and promptly report any violations to the police and education authorities.
