SP fields BJP rebels as it changes candidates for two MLC seats

The Samajwadi Party has changed its candidates for two seats in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council elections, fielding former BJP members in their place.
Elections to five graduates' and six teachers' constituencies of the UP Legislative Council are scheduled for October 23, with counting set for October 27.
The party's shift reflects strategic repositioning ahead of the polls, bringing in candidates with prior BJP experience.
