SpiceJet Staff Member Suspended After Abusing Passengers at Bagdogra Airport Over Flight Cancellation

A heated confrontation erupted at Bagdogra Airport in West Bengal after SpiceJet cancelled a Delhi-bound flight, with a viral video showing a female staff member allegedly hurling abuses at passengers. CISF personnel intervened to control the situation. The incident occurred on June 13 when flight SG 151, originally scheduled to depart at 4:10 pm, faced multiple delays before being cancelled.
Passenger Noman Shaikh claimed travellers were initially told the flight would depart around 10 pm, only to be informed later that it had been cancelled. Passengers accused the airline of poor crisis management, alleging no hotel accommodation was arranged after the cancellation. Some also claimed they were served undercooked food while waiting at the airport. The incident has drawn widespread criticism online over staff conduct and handling of passenger grievances during flight disruptions.
