Sri Aurobindo Group to Open Special Care Centres for Children With Developmental Needs Across Madhya Pradesh

The Sri Aurobindo Group announced plans to establish special care and development centres for children with special needs across Madhya Pradesh districts. The initiative aims to improve access to advanced healthcare and multidisciplinary support beyond major cities. Group founder-chairman Dr Vinod Bhandari made the announcement during a medical education programme in Indore on Sunday.
The proposed centres will be modelled on existing institutions Maatri Sparsh - Usha Divya Bal Mandir and Kemhans, launched about a year ago. These centres use advanced medical technology to identify and develop children's abilities, with documented progress in their overall development. Bhandari said studies highlighted the need for specialised facilities in peripheral areas and smaller districts.
Kemhans franchises will be introduced across Madhya Pradesh districts. A medical education programme focused on child and adolescent mental health and neurology, with paediatricians, psychiatrists and specialists discussing coordinated care needs for children requiring specialised support.
