Supreme Court to review Sohrabuddin encounter case acquittals, bars Shah discharge reopening

The Supreme Court has agreed to examine the acquittal of 22 accused persons in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh encounter case, while making clear that Amit Shah's discharge granted in 2014 will not be reopened.
The decision comes as the court reviews the high-profile criminal case that has drawn scrutiny over its handling and witness testimonies. The case involves questions surrounding the death of Judge B.H. Loya and allegations against over 90 witnesses in the proceedings.
