Eight Maoists who surrendered have successfully cleared the Class 10 open school examination in Chhattisgarh, marking a significant step in their rehabilitation.
One of the beneficiaries expressed her satisfaction with the opportunity to resume her education. "I am very happy that I got an opportunity to study again. I always wanted to study," she said, adding that she now aspires to pursue higher education and become a nurse.
The achievement underscores rehabilitation efforts being undertaken for former insurgents in the state to help them reintegrate into mainstream society through education and skill development.
