Tamil Nadu Assembly By-Polls Shaped as Five-Way Contest

Tamil Nadu's upcoming assembly by-polls have emerged as a five-cornered electoral battle. The TVK, DMK, and AIADMK have fielded their respective candidates, while Naam Thamizhar Katchi leader Seeman confirmed his party's participation in the contest.

In a show of alliance politics, the Congress, MDMK, VCK, and IUML have announced their support for TVK nominees Maragadham Kumaravel in Madhuranthagam and P. Sathyabama in Dharapuram, consolidating anti-DMK and anti-AIADMK votes behind the TVK candidates.
