Tamil Nadu faces lesser power shortage than other States: Minister Sengottaiyan

Tamil Nadu faces a lower power shortage compared to other states, according to Minister Sengottaiyan. Speaking on the Parandur airport project, he clarified that waterbodies and wetlands in the region should be assessed separately from land requirements for the airport and SIPCOT industrial projects.

Sengottaiyan stated that the runway cannot be constructed on a lake, indicating the project's infrastructure needs are distinct from environmental concerns in the area.
