TDB-DST allocates ₹130 crore to BigEndian Semiconductors for indigenous AI vision chip development
The Technology Development Board (TDB) and Department of Science & Technology (DST) have signed an agreement with BigEndian Semiconductors to provide ₹130 crore in research and development support. The funding will support the development of an indigenous AI vision system-on-chip (SoC).
This initiative aims to strengthen India's semiconductor capabilities and reduce dependence on foreign technology for AI applications. The partnership between government agencies and the semiconductor company represents a step toward building domestic expertise in chip design and manufacturing.
