Telangana CM Takes Action Over Power Plant Management Issues

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has initiated disciplinary action against officials responsible for managing the state's thermal power generation facilities. The move follows complaints about an inconsistent approach to his repeated directions aimed at ensuring full-capacity operations at the Yadadri and other thermal power stations.
The chief engineer of the Yadadri Thermal Power Station (YTPS) has been removed from the position. To strengthen oversight and ensure compliance with operational directives, five IAS officers will now monitor the plant on a rotational basis.
The action underscores the Chief Minister's push to address inefficiencies in power generation and enforce accountability within the state's energy infrastructure. The measure aims to improve operational consistency and responsiveness to government directives across thermal power facilities.
