Telangana CM alleges conspiracy to remove 1 crore votes via SIR deadline extension

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has criticized the Election Commission's decision to extend the deadline for claims and objections under the Special Summary Revision (SIR) of voter rolls. Speaking at a memorial event for former PM P.V. Narasimha Rao, Reddy alleged a conspiracy to remove one crore votes from Telangana's electoral rolls.
Reddy accused the BJP of remaining silent on the issue and claimed the party plans to use similar tactics allegedly employed in Bihar and West Bengal. He warned these votes would be mobilized to defeat PM Modi in 2029 and called the SIR process a dangerous strategy targeting opposition voters.
The CM appealed to voters to remain vigilant about the SIR procedure. The Election Commission is set to release the final voter list on November 9.
