Telangana Congress to protest against ECI's electoral roll handling on September 28

The Telangana Congress has announced a protest on September 28 against the Election Commission of India's handling of the Special Identification Routine (SIR) process for electoral rolls.

The state Congress president has demanded that the ECI publish state-wise and constituency-wise details of names deleted from draft electoral rolls during the SIR process, along with reasons for deletions, number of objections received, and other relevant information.

The party seeks greater transparency in the electoral roll revision procedure.
