Telangana government targets green power expansion amid rising demand

Telangana Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka highlighted the state's commitment to a green power revolution, noting a significant surge in electricity demand over the past decade.
According to Vikramarka, the state's peak electricity demand stood at 15,497 MW when the previous government took office in 2014. The demand has since grown to 19,543 MW as of September 9, reflecting rapid industrial and consumer expansion.
The remarks underscore the government's push toward renewable energy capacity to meet the growing consumption while supporting sustainability goals.
