Telangana's Literacy Rate Lags National Average at 74.6%

According to the Periodic Labour Force Survey 2025, Telangana's literacy rate among people aged seven and above is 74.6 per cent, falling short of the national average of 81.1 per cent.
The data highlights a significant gap in literacy levels across the state compared to the rest of the country. This discrepancy raises questions about the effectiveness of educational initiatives and learning outcomes in schools.
