Thane residents protest against proposed hyperscale data centre

Residents of Thane have launched protests against a proposed hyperscale data centre project in the city. The opposition centres on concerns about environmental impact and strain on existing infrastructure.

Local groups have raised questions about the facility's water consumption, power requirements, and potential effects on the surrounding area. The protests reflect growing civic resistance to large industrial projects in residential localities.
