Tiger Nandu euthanised at Thrissur Zoo after cancer diagnosis

Tiger Nandu, which had been rescued from Wayanad, was euthanised at Thrissur Zoological Park in Kerala. The animal was suffering from advanced oral cancer and had become unable to eat, making the decision necessary.

The tiger had been under care at the zoo following its rescue from the wild. Zoo authorities cited the severity of the condition and the animal's deteriorating quality of life as reasons for the decision.
