When speaking to Variety at the Emmys, Roach said, "I actually lied. She wasn't married. They actually haven't had an official ceremony yet." He explained that while Zendaya has been Tom's "wife for a really long time now," it remains unofficial. Roach also dismissed viral wedding dress images as AI-generated.

This latest statement contradicts Roach's March claim that "the wedding has already happened." The conflicting narratives have fueled ongoing speculation about the couple's actual marital status, particularly given Holland's June comments to Esquire suggesting a wedding ceremony had occurred.
