Tony Romo disqualified from golf tournament over scorecard error

Tony Romo faced disqualification from a Korn Ferry Tour pre-qualifier tournament after he signed a scorecard that contained lower-than-actual scores for two holes.

The disqualification followed a breach of golf tournament rules, which require players to verify the accuracy of their scorecards before submission. Signing an incorrect scorecard is a serious violation in professional golf competition.

Romo, a former NFL quarterback, has been pursuing golf competitively since leaving broadcasting. The incident marks a setback in his efforts to compete on professional golf circuits.
