Speeding Trailer Kills Couple and Teenage Daughter in Madhya Pradesh
A speeding trailer struck a motorcycle from behind at Pitgara village intersection on the Lebad-Nayagaon four-lane highway in Badnawar, Madhya Pradesh on Saturday morning, killing three members of a family on the spot. The victims were identified as Rahul Singh Bhati (35), his wife Pooja (30), and their 13-year-old daughter Suman. Their 12-year-old daughter Shivani was critically injured and referred to a hospital in Ratlam. The family was travelling to a nearby village for agricultural work when the incident occurred. The trailer driver fled the scene.
Angered villagers blocked the highway for three hours in protest, demanding installation of speed breakers at the intersection and adequate compensation for the affected family. The blockade was lifted after the trailer was intercepted at a nearby toll plaza. The bodies were sent for post-mortem examination.
