Turkey sacks head coach Vincenzo Montella after four consecutive Nations League defeats

Turkey has removed Italian head coach Vincenzo Montella following a run of four consecutive defeats in the UEFA Nations League. The decision came after the team's 3-1 loss to Italy in recent competition.

Montella had previously guided Turkey to the quarterfinals of Euro 2024, a respectable showing in the continental championship. However, the recent poor performance in the Nations League prompted the federation to make the coaching change.

The dismissal marks an end to Montella's tenure with the Turkish national team after the disappointing run of results in international fixtures.
