Two Cousins Drown at Lodhiya Kund Waterfall in Madhya Pradesh

Two cousins—25-year-old Ajeet Singh and 23-year-old Anjali Chauhan—drowned while bathing at Lodhiya Kund waterfall near Choral in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh. The pair was part of a group of five youths from Indore who had ventured into the forest region for a trek. After their hike, the group stopped at the waterfall to cool off. The two entered deep water and began drowning; nearby villagers retrieved both bodies. Both were sent to Mhow Civil Hospital for post-mortem examination.
Lodhiya Kund has a long history of fatal drowning incidents. Officials attribute recurring tragedies to visitors underestimating water depth, strong hidden currents, and hazardous whirlpools along the rocky terrain. Authorities continue to warn visitors against entering deep natural waters and urge strict adherence to safety protocols.
