Ujjain Police Brief DJ Operators on Noise Rules, Ban Loudspeakers After 10 PM

Ujjain police held meetings with DJ and sound amplifier operators across police station areas to ensure compliance with noise pollution regulations ahead of upcoming festivals and events. Station house officers directed operators to follow prescribed guidelines and take bonds from them to guarantee adherence.
Operators were instructed not to use loudspeakers or sound amplifier systems after 10 pm, in line with the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000. They were also directed to avoid causing noise pollution near hospitals and other designated Silence Zones, keeping sound intensity within prescribed standards.
Police warned that violations could attract action under the rules. The sound source level in public places must not exceed ambient noise standards by more than 10 dB(A), or 75 dB(A), whichever is lower.
