Uttar Pradesh expands healthcare, pensions and Ayushman support across 75 old age homes

The Uttar Pradesh government has issued directives to strengthen healthcare services across 75 old age homes operated by the Social Welfare Department. Weekly health check-up camps will be organised with medical teams conducting blood pressure, blood sugar, eye and general health examinations. Free medicines will be provided to residents as needed.
Beyond medical care, the department is enhancing quality of life through recreational facilities including television and libraries, along with yoga and meditation sessions. The initiative aims to ensure senior citizens receive dignified living conditions with regular healthcare monitoring and timely medical assistance.
The Social Welfare Department is continuously monitoring infrastructure improvements and daily living standards across these homes to support both physical and mental well-being of residents.
