Uttar Pradesh hikes honorarium for anganwadi workers, expands health coverage

The Uttar Pradesh government has announced a hike in the honorarium for anganwadi workers and helpers across the state. The move aims to improve their financial condition and recognition of their role in community health and nutrition programs.
Beyond the wage increase, the state has also expanded healthcare coverage, enabling anganwadi workers and helpers to access cashless treatment benefits up to ₹5 lakh. This enhancement is intended to provide better social security and medical protection for frontline workers in the anganwadi system.
