UP Sets Up 543 Prerna SARAS Stores to Link Rural Women's Products to Global Markets

Under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's direction, Uttar Pradesh has set up 543 Prerna SARAS Stores across the state to link self-help group products with expanded markets. The initiative includes digital and physical sales platforms for over 3,000 products from rural women entrepreneurs.
Products from self-help groups can now reach consumers through ONDC, e-SARAS, Prerna Mart, Meesho, Amazon and Flipkart. District and block-level Prerna SARAS Stores provide structured sales platforms locally, while digital channels enable access to national and international markets.
Arun Kumar, Mission Director of the Rural Livelihood Mission, said the focus is on enabling entrepreneurship opportunities for women in self-help groups beyond savings and loans. The state has built a comprehensive network for branding, packaging, marketing and sales of local products to help rural enterprises understand market demand and scale operations.
