High Court stays 91% reservation in 4 medical colleges of UP

The Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court has stayed the nearly 91% reservation applied to MBBS admissions through NEET UG in four government medical colleges of UP.

For now, the court has allowed counselling to proceed according to the prescribed norms for SC, ST and OBC reservation. Under the new directions, admission process will be conducted on the basis of 21% SC, 2% ST and 27% OBC reservation.
