Heavy Cut in Fees on Rental Agreements: Now Only Rs 1,000 to Be Paid

The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to make a significant reduction in the fee levied on tenancy agreements. Under the new policy, the agreement fee for a property with an annual rent of 2 lakh rupees will now be only 1,000 rupees.
Earlier, a fee of up to 32,000 rupees had to be paid for such an agreement. This step aims to make legal documents cheaper and more accessible for both tenants and property owners.
